Career
Megan Ruble has been with Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield as a Senior Account Manager for National Accounts for over two years. Megan and her team serve as a central point of contact and liaison to other Wellmark professionals in medical management, wellness, finance, membership, enrollment, customer service, claims, and reporting. In collaboration with her Account Team, these industry experts can provide consultation, for example, on how benefit changes may impact future expenses, group specific and industry data analysis on utilization and trends throughout the year, as well as provide summary reports and attend meetings to review cost and utilization details and account-specific metrics.
Ruble has over eight years experience in the health insurance industry. Prior to joining Wellmark, she spent five years with Principal Financial Group as an Underwriting Consultant for group insurance products, with a specialization in group medical insurance. Responsibilities included sales and broker training, special projects, mentoring, decision reviewer role, and strategy group member for Texas and Iowa. She also worked for Investors Professional Services in Cedar Falls, Iowa with life, disability, long-term care, and annuity products.
Education
Ruble earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa, and her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Iowa.
